There are many
challenges that students are likely to face in the classroom. Example
s of these challenges includes the following. The first challenge
occurs when a given student or a group of student is not able to
understand what is being taught by the teacher. Under such
circumstances, the student may be the causal factor while in some
instances; the teacher might be the problem.
Most of the teachers
mainly prefer to offer many materials to the students within a very
short time without minding whether the student understands or not.
This eventually leads to poor performance of the student. It is true
that the student might have the relevant materials but does not get
adequate time to read the materials provided by the student. The
student may also cause the challenge to himself for instance if he or
she fails to pay close attention to the teacher. The teacher might
struggle very hard to make clarification of a given point but on the
other side, the student may be engaged to other activities.
The
result of the student’s behavior is usually reflected on his or her
performance. In most cases, students who are very keen and observant
perform very well compared to other students who do not ascertain the
importance of education. Other challenges experienced by the students
in the classroom include absence of proper facilities to aid the
learning process and reduced number of learning hours. Mitigating challenges encountered in the classroom
can be done using a number of ways. The most appropriate way is
ensuring that only the highly qualified teachers are hired to teach
the students.
