Journey to America from Ireland

Memoir My make out is Cormac Lynch. I lived in Ireland. My family was middle class, me and my wife could complement our family. I was a potato farmer in Ireland, the assembly line was right(a), then came the Great Famine in 1845. Lots of muckle died during the famine. The Great Famine cause mass starvation, disease and emigration. My neighbor was a trader who was constantly telling me stories virtually the States and how great it was. So in 1847 my family and his family took the long trip to America. We got fractional way across the Atlantic and my wife started to get sick. We shrugged it kill thinking it was sea sickness. She eventually passed away about 2 weeks later. It took about 5 weeks to get to America. When we got there we knew we had friends who also do the long journey, so we went to where they lived. The community was an all Irish community. The stand that we lived in was small, my family including my neighbors family had to squeeze in and lead it comfortable. Fortunately there were job openings in farming, so I got a job farming again. I finally deliver up enough money to buy my family our own house. We move to into our new house in New York and found a lot more Irish people. We even found my discussions best friend who moved here about a month before us.

It took a long m for me to save up money because i was a single(a) dad raising 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. The boys conjures are Ryan and Matthew, Ryans name means forgetful king and Matthews name means gods present. Ryan is 6 and Matthew is 16. My little girls name is Sarah which means little princess and she is 4. Matthew just turned 16 so he was able to get a job running(a) on the farms with me. Moving here gave my children a chance for a better future than just farming, they can go to check and get an education so they can get good high paying jobs.
