Leadership Interview

Introduction At 4pm on the 23rd April, 2012 I turned up nervously but excitedly to my appointment with the mayor. I sit at Invercargill City Council reception shaky but ecstatic, I could hear my heart pounding. I felt up very allow to have been given the opportunity to in the end and personally tolerate and interview the Mayor of Invercargill, his Worship Tim Shadbolt. When I was given this estimate to interview and learn from a great leader, I valued to interview an extraordinary person; little that I slam this extraordinary person will turn out to be much more than the extraordinary. In my thoughts was the idea to interview the Mayor of Invercargill, my home town Mayor Tim Shadbolt. His Worship has been the picture entire advertisement figures for Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), whither Ive slip away most of my years of learning towards this Bachelor of Commerce. As I waited anxiously at Council reception, the double doors finally flung open and the Mayors Secretary, Aisha William, came passel to meet me. We exchanged comments about the day as she guide me up the stairs to first floor where the Mayors office was. We walked into a stylish waiting room with graceful view of well grown trees overlooking St Johns Anglican church.

As Aisha exits to notify his Worship that I was there, I took some ample breaths to calm myself. Within what seemed to be just seconds the Mayor entered the room. He reached out to shake my hand as I time-tested to rave on about how appreciative and honoured I felt that he could spare some of his precious time to chew out with me. I also told him how shaky and excited I was to finally meet him, he replied we are laid back here. He left the room and came back with a intensity titled Mayor of two cities and handed it to me. He utter that it may answer some of my questions. I thanked his Worship and act to talk. I spoke a little about who I was, my family and the study that I was doing.
