McCloskeys article On Being an Atheist several times, I had thought to myself that there can be some bulk who can actually deny the existence of God. However, before reading this article, my faith was completely based on my own presumptions. I would definitely concord to thank McCloskey for writing an article which pass on force us (theist) to rethink about our faith in God. Well his article didnt change my view solely now I am definitely armed with facts and argumentation to support my impressions. In his article, McCloskey says proofs do not necessarily match a very important role in the belief of God. Page 62 of the article states that, most theists do not come to believe in God as a basis for religious belief, but come to religion as a result of other minds and factors. Moreover, he feels that as off the beaten track(predicate) as proofs serve theists, the three most commonly accept are the cosmological, the teleological, and the argument from design. He considers these arguments as reasons to move cut-and-dried theists to their theism (p.63). This is not true in most of the cases, in bloodline to that most theists do not hold to these proofs.
