Because of my personal experiences along with the reality and truth of how racism is handled in America, I personally believe that we as a nation are moving backwards and not forwards. Racism in todays society although it has definitely evolved from what it utilise to be, it is still very much an issue. I think that the diversion in todays society is that it is organism go through by all races all over the country, including the white race. In trying to create equality in America I think that the pendulum is swinging to the extreme in the opposite direction, reminds me of politics, and that is why this article bothered me so much and raised much questions.

Is the big racial fight for equality, or is it for superiority? wherefore do we allow race specific colleges, organizations, college funds, why is it that a company must hire a minority scorn qualifications for fear of being sued? Why is it that anyone should be treated spare or different? The discrimination that Lawrence writes about is completely uncalled for and is definitely a valid problem, but I wonder what a White or Hispanic male would experience going to an all-black organization or club.
