It is argued by economists and anthropologists that we are now living in a society on earth that is coming together below one economic system. This system is called globalization. Globalization is not just now an economic phenomenon, but an anthropological event as well. What this paper will do is take the two disciplines of economics and anthropology subroutine them to first explain globalization and the future of its development. After that, I will explore whether Globalization was a positive or negative occurrence from an anthropological view. . Conceptualising the globalisation phenomenon as a purely economic subject and discounting other macro factors, provides a somewhat obtuse understanding of its effects as a global system. Whilst economic factors will remain the primary concentrate of this paper, the arguments presented are drawn from an eclectic perspective, accounting for political, cultural and geographical influences.
