Charles Darwin was a well-educated reality papering medicine and theology, and he also studied to be a clergyman, believing at the time in creationism. After spending five age as a naturalist on board the HMS Beagle’s voyage around the coast of South America, he returned to England to study the numerous sea plant life and other creatures he had collected. Influenced by Charles Lyell’s work, he came up with his theory on evolution, although he was not the counterbalance to come with the concept, he was the first to have any evidence to support his theory. Evolution is the form by which we grow, change and blend in through generations in this world. Darwin’s work had many positive and oppose influences on psychology. One of Darwin’s negative influences was the inequality of women. In Darwin’s book, ‘The decent of man’ he published further his evolutionary theories by discussing such topics as the differences between sexes and the superiority of men to women.
