1863.This document was the Emancipation Proclamation. The Civil War era (when the Emancipation Proclamation was out) was an important timeline because of tall the events that went on. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1806. He was prototypical elected hot seat of the United States in the year of 1860. slavery was in effect and President Lincoln wasnt able about it. He was then elected President, Novemeber 6, 1860. While he was waiting to issue the Emancipation Proclamation, many people did non like the idea President Lincoln was trying to put together there. This is what President Lincoln said about that, I am a slow mountain passer, but I never walk backwards. (Lincoln 31). President Lincoln was a powerful person since he kept the Emancipation Proclamation even though closely people did not agree with him.

There were many sides to the Emancipation Proclamation.



Most of which the Union were the Pros. A big thing for the trades wedlock was that they were the ones who won the war. An some other major asset was the person, Frederick Douglas. Next there were lots of more people in the union, army and navy, including slaves. If the union won the war then they would get their freedom. This gave the union a great reason to fight and gave them more support. On the other side there were cons for the Emancipation Proclamation, like there is for everything. unity of these included that the southern states fatalityed their slaves.
