Night by Elie Wiesel tells the terror of what the prisoners had to go threw in the concentration camps during World War II. Another example of prisoners in the concentration camp loosing their faith in Night is when the pipel was hung. He was hung in front of everyone to see. Many thought once again if God let this happen, and let it happen for everyone to see he must not exist.
Many felt as though God would not allow such harsh and agonized doings to someone so young and innocent, and he would not let it be so everyone could see.
Many peoples faith was lessened because of the harsh conditions of the environment. The Jews were forced out of their homes and did not well-read where they were going. This challenged the faith because faith is about not knowing but trusting in God that you will be safe. However, the Nazis had taken away the Jewish church, and religion is based on structure and leadership. Without the church people started to lose faith and started to imagine that bad things would happened to them. The Jewish community started to lose faith and they began to develop on one another.
